Gigafactory 1, also known as Tesla Giga Nevada, is the head of Tesla’s electric vehicle operation. This large facility is where the majority of the company’s well-known lithium-ion batteries and other electrical components are produced. We are discussing the acquisition of an area of around 4.5 square miles.

One day, Tesla’s Nevada manufacturing will be completely powered by renewable energy sources, which will be a significant milestone in and of itself. If you’re still having trouble picturing the size of this place, consider that over 7,000 people are employed there, and there are plans to hire several thousand more in the future.
