Children having fun with dogs
When bringing a dog into a house with small children, care should be taken. Toddlers frequently treat pets harshly, which can result in bites or injuries from knocks. Dogs and little children should never be left alone. Instruct polite behavior and set limits. Teach students about the signs of fear and anger on dogs’ bodies. Teach your dog how to be petted softly so that they are not startled, pulled, poked, or squeezed.
Ensure that children do not agitate dogs when they eat, sleep, or play with toys. If necessary, limit access until the children are older. Family breeds that are tolerant and well-socialized are perfect for homes with little children. Dogs that receive training are more resilient to the hectic aspects of child life, such as surprise pie in the face, toys underfoot, and loud noises. When prepared, dogs and children get along well.
