31. Blueberry Muffin
Ordered From: Unknown
Average Order Price: $2-$3*
The restaurant here seems like it was running out of blueberries when one customer had the misfortune to order a blueberry muffin. While very few things taste as good as a blueberry (or chocolate-chip, for those who aren’t fans of fruit) muffin fresh out of the oven, what one customer received was more of an empty muffin.

Blueberry Muffin @iamtheoneandOP / Reddit.com
Just one blueberry was in the muffin, nowhere else, making this closer to shortcake than anything. Maybe they were too expensive; historically, 2019 and 2020 have both seen increases in the price of blueberries. But the market has expanded too, something blueberry fans will no doubt appreciate.
32. Coke with an Extra Kid’s Cup
Ordered From: Wendy’s
Average Order Price: $2.19*
One Wendy’s customer got to experience the other end of the spectrum when it comes to the quality of fast food service. They ordered a large Coke with an extra cup for the kids to share (kids think they can drink a large drink, but they cannot). What they got was a large Coke with the kid’s cup still inside it, causing a giant mess.

Chick-Fil-A would never let this happen. McDonald’s might, and Burger King probably would, but Chick-Fil-A, which is known across social media as the paragon of above-and-beyond customer service, definitely would not. A large drink is cheaper too, costing $1.85.
33. Scotch Eggs
Ordered From: Unknown
Average Order Price: $6.67*
People who didn’t know what Scotch eggs were until now might be thinking that there’s no way someone would order an egg like this. However, it’s not the order that’s odd, it’s the fact that they brought it in a tiny trophy cup that looks like something a child would win at a karate prize.

Honestly, if you’ve never tried Scotch eggs but love breakfast food, you should try it. Wrapped in sausage meat, they start off as eggs (hard-boiled) before being sprinkled with breadcrumbs and then either baked or deep-fried to perection. Is it healthy? No. Is it delicious? Most people say it is.
34. Small Orange Juice
Ordered From: Unknown
Average Order Price: $2.60*
This is so ridiculous, it almost looks photoshopped. One restaurant customer ordered a small orange juice. They got a small orange juice, except the OJ cup was so ridiculously tiny that it was the same size as the table’s saltshaker (which was not larger than average).

Hey, times are tough. Orange juice is yet another thing that has gone up in price. This is especially true in 2020, when there are unprecedented high orange prices. The rising demand has even caused a shortage. One glass of orange juice, for reference, requires three medium-sized oranges, put through a juicer.
35. Fresh Coffee
Ordered From: Unknown
Average Order Price: $2.99*
If you don’t look too close, you might think that this is a cup of coffee in a solid, crystallized caramel cup. While that would be a good idea, and delicious too, that isn’t caramel. This is instead coffee in a hollowed-out carrot.

Fresh Coffee @Locals Corner / Facebook.com
Whoever came up with the idea is so far anonymous, as when you google “coffee in a carrot,” the results are all people on Reddit making fun of the restaurant who made this. However odd though the carrot coffee is, the coffee artist does deserve credit for the swirling, leafy design on the foam of the coffee.
36. Pepperoni Pizza
Ordered From: Unknown
Average Order Price: $7-$12*
A pepperoni pizza is the best dinner. Whether you’re in elementary school excitedly waiting for a pizza party or you’re a grown adult who doesn’t feel like cooking, pizza is delicious. And there are so many different kinds now, even vegans and gluten-free people can enjoy. However, nothing beats a classic pepperoni pizza.

Pepperoni Pizza @BuzzFeed / Pinterest
Or, in this customer’s case, a pepperoni with pizza. One customer ordered a pepperoni pizza and, instead, they received a cheese pizza with one pepperoni almost dead-center. The entire thing—the single pepperoni, the off-center position of it—seems very passive aggressive. Luckily, cheese pizza is still a delicious backup.
37. Printed Cake (Photo Provided on USB Stick)
Ordered From: Local Bakery
Average Order Price: $36.99*
The conversation at the bakery must have been a confusing one, as someone no doubt wondered why another person would want to celebrate a photograph of a USB drive (though bakeries are no doubt used to strange celebration requests, so much so that they often have to have a list of rules about what they will and won’t put on a cake).

Printed Cake (Photo Provided on USB Stick) @Demotivateur Food / Pinterest
One person gave the bakery a photo on their USB drive. The expectation was that the bakery would go into the drive, download the photo, and scan it onto the cake. Instead, they scanned a photo of the drive itself onto the cake. Classic case of miscommunication.
38. Pizza with 8 Cheese Sticks
Ordered From: Unknown
Average Order Price: $17-$25*
There are a lot of pizza mishaps in the world. Maybe it’s because pizza is such a commonly-ordered food that, statistically, there are going to be more mistakes. Either way, this is definitely one of the more unusual ones, because the pizza itself looks perfectly fine.

Pizza with 8 Cheese Sticks @faithfullycat / Pinterest
One customer ordered a large pizza and eight cheese sticks. The woman on the phone must have heard a little different, because what arrived were eight pieces of cheesecake, individually packaged. Though cheesecake is delicious, it’s definitely way more expensive than a $10-$12 cheese stick eight-piece platter. Eight pieces of cheesecake, on average, is $41.70 ($6.95 each).
39. Printed Graduation Cake with a Cap Drawn On
Ordered From: Local Bakery
Average Order Price: $36.99*
Bakery mishaps are a dime a dozen (pun intended) as it’s easy to mishear or misunderstand someone’s order, creating a lovely cake that is totally not what the person intended. One social media poster told the story of his mom, who ordered a graduation cake for someone named Laura.

Printed Graduation Cake with a Cap Drawn On @nydailynews / Pinterest
The bakery was supposed to print a picture of Laura and draw a cap on her head. Instead, the bakery misheard and drew a cat on her head. The misunderstanding is surprising, considering that they got the rolled-up diploma scroll in the bottom right-hand corner correct. The bakery does deserve credit for the cute cat illustration, though.
40. Cinnamon Biscuit with Extra Frosting
Ordered From: Hardee’s
Average Order Price: $2.86*
Is this one really so bad? One Hardee’s customer asked the restaurant to put extra icing on his cinnamon roll, and what he got was a cinnamon roll that was swamped with icing. Luckily, icing is the best part of cinnamon rolls, and all that’s changed now is that he needs a fork (also, the sugar has doubled).

Cinnamon Biscuit with Extra Frosting @Bored Panda / Pinterest
Hardee’s cinnamon rolls are one of the pricier things on their menu, costing $2.86, which is more expensive than their other, $0.74 desserts, a chocolate cookie and apple turnover. However, there’s no denying that cinnamon rolls, in their 520-calorie goodness, are even better when submerged in a lake of frosting.
41. Coffee with Bailey’s
Ordered From: Unknown
Average Order Price: $5-$10*
Chalk this one up to yet another misheard order. One customer ordered a “coffee with Baileys,” meaning the classic drink of a hot coffee with Baileys Irish Cream liquor. The waiter must have misheard, bringing the customer a coffee with two bay leaves, adding an unexpected tinge of spice to the order.

Coffee with Bailey’s @Cheezburger / Pinterest
This one definitely had to be remade, as you can’t go wrong with Baileys Irish Cream, which is flavored with cocoa, cream and Irish whiskey. Bay leaves, though undeniably a nice addition to a pot of spaghetti sauce or stew, just don’t have that same kick.
42. Chili with Extra Onions
Ordered From: Wendy’s
Average Order Price: $2.79*
One customer ordered extra onions in their Wendy’s chili, which means that Wendy’s makes yet another appearance on this list. You’d think that would mean chopping them up and putting more into the chili, but the Wendy’s workers just left them in ring form, making for an awkward bowl of chili.

Chili with Extra Onions @denisehackney9 / Pinterest
However, this isn’t as badly as it could have gone. Sometimes, when someone asks for extra of something, the fast food workers take a million of that extra thing and overload the order. In this case, the error was relatively mild, and it’s also still pretty edible.
43. Small Beer
Ordered From: Restaurant in Berlin
Average Order Price: $4.28*
For those who aren’t familiar with German cuisine (AKA, most of us), Schweinshaxe is a dish of pork knuckle, which has been boiled in garlic brine or caraway seed, roasted until crisp, and served with pickled chili peppers, horseradish, and mustard. The Bavarian Schweinshaxe is almost always served with red cabbage and potato dumplings or potatoes and sauerkraut.

Small Beer @9GAG / Pinterest
All this to say, it’s a huge meal. One customer, after ordering and eating Schweinshaxe, asked a waiter in Berlin for a “small beer” to wash down the meal with. The waiter went and got the smallest, tea-cup sized glass cup that they had.
44. Grilled Cheese Sandwich
Ordered From: Unknown
Average Order Price: $3*
This is the restaurant version of scamming people. This looks like an online order, where only the visible parts are made to look nice. One customer ordered a grilled cheese sandwich. They got grilled cheese only on the inner part of the sandwich, which is the first place they’d see when separating the sandwich.

Grilled Cheese Sandwich @u/yikeswhatshappeninghere / Via old.reddit.com
This grilled cheese, as BuzzFeed put it, is definitely the restaurant “trying to pull a fast one.” Maybe the cheese was too expensive, as that is yet another food item that has seen prices rise to, as People said, an “all time high.” Luckily, CheeseReporter.com says that trend will end in 2021.
45. Mozzarella Sticks
Ordered From: Unknown
Average Order Price: $3.59*
When you look up “disappointment” in the dictionary, this is the photograph that should be next to that work. Mozzarella sticks are a delicious snack. The fried cheese sticks are awesome, and the best part, undeniably, is the feeling you get when you pull them apart and see the gooey goodness.

Mozzarella Sticks @TacoWarez / Via old.reddit.com
One customer did not get to experience anything even remotely close to that. When he bit into his mozzarella stick, the stick was totally empty—no cheese or anything, just empty air. Though, from what we can see, the rest of the meal looks pretty good, the mozzarella stick is just too disappointing for words.
