Deodorant doesn’t “technically” have an expiration date, according to Outside Online, and your antiperspirant will probably continue to function for years. If you keep your deodorant for that long, though, you should change it in three years. The stick has an expiration date on it.

Usually, the expiration period falls between one and three years, but three years is the absolute maximum. Deodorant will become unusable as a result of losing its composition, formula, scent, and odor-fighting ability. Furthermore, Time claims that deodorant that has expired loses its antibacterial qualities, allowing dangerous germs and microorganisms to proliferate.
