However, we haven’t witnessed the application of this human law to the animal kingdom, such as when a mature ape extends its hand to a human who is submerged in water in order to guide them. It appears like the man in the water entered freely with the intention of catching some fish or completing some other task; he does not appear to be in danger of drowning. But the ape doesn’t care; it only understands the concepts of mutual aid and survival and strives toward them. It begs the question of how the world of humans would change if everyone followed suit!
