Not surprisingly, one of the largest fines in sports history was imposed in response to Mike Tyson’s cannibalistic outburst in 1997. In case you missed it, during their 1997 match at The Sound and the Fury, “Iron Mike” really bit Evander Holyfield. Two times. When he severed a portion of Evander’s ear and spat it out in the ring, he made the second count. The first was more of a warning nip from “Kid Dynamite.”
