Although Shaquille O’Neal has always been a fan favorite, we can’t say the same about the officials. O’Neal will be remembered as a great NBA player. For instance, in the Magic vs. Celtics game in 2010, Shaq fouled out after just thirteen minutes of play.

Shaq bragged about his fouling out after the game, saying that the crowd “came out to see Number 26 today,” which was Referee Bob Delaney, number 26. Shaq went on, “He was great…out there today,” giving the impression that Delaney had turned the tide of the Celtics game. Shaq was fined $35,000 by the NBA for his acerbic remarks, serving as yet another reminder to everyone of the futility of arguing with the referees.
