Despite being phased out in 2000, certain Chevy Lumina vehicles are still in use today. After eleven years, Chevy discontinued the Lumina because of declining sales, which were probably influenced by the popularity of the redesigned Impala.

Chevy Problems rates the Lumina 10 out of 40 models in its database, noting a few electrical and engine problems as the main complaints. Despite this, Luminas do appear to be quite reliable vehicles.
