This 24-carat aquamarine ring was created by Asprey upon Princess Diana’s divorce. It is said that the ring was made for her so she has something to wear on her ring finger. It has been passed on to Prince Harry and was worn by Meghan Markle at their wedding reception.

Set in 24-carat yellow gold, as pure as can be, the stone is flanked by small solitaire diamonds. Princess Diana was known for her love of blue, especially blue jewels as it brought out the color of her eyes.

Comprising four elegant rows of pearls and a unique diamond, curve shaped clasp, the necklace has been worn by the Queen a handful of times. More famously it was loaned by the Queen to Princess Diana at a banquet at Hampton Court Palace in 1982.

The Queen has worn it several times over the years and still wears it today. It was also borrowed by Princess Diana who wore it to an event at The Barbican in London when she was pregnant with Prince William.

While it was originally known as Queen Victoria’s diamond necklace (and earrings) it later became known as the Coronation necklace. The reason being that every Queen since Queen Victoria has worn the necklace to their coronation, including Queen Elizabeth II in 1953.

The Queen’s image is used on the Bahamian dollar bill wearing this precise necklace. It was also worn by Kate Middleton who looked absolutely stunning in 2014 at a Gala at the National Portrait Gallery in London.

It was seen on Kate Middleton at a Spanish State banquet in 2017, paired with Queen Mary’s Lovers Knot tiara. The necklace looked like it was made for the Duchess and was complimented perfectly by her soft, pink lace neckline.

Queen Victoria wore the brooch regularly, and even wore it on her wedding day. Like most of her jewels though she stopped wearing it after her husband passed in 1861. It is an heirloom to the crown according to her wishes and has been worn by all four women who held the position since.

There is some speculation about the tiara worn by Sophie, Countess of Wessex on her wedding day. It is a circlet which features a detachable fleur-de-lis, Maltese cross, and anthemion elements and it is said that they are identical to the original Regal Circlet.

It is speculated that the larger diamonds set in this brooch were a gift to the Queen Mother from the Sultan of Turkey in 1856. The brooch features nine chains set with a very large emerald cut diamond in the center, surrounded by brilliant-cut diamonds and was inherited by the Queen in 2002.

The original creation worn by Queen Victoria was a much more elaborate version than the one we see today. It had a fringe that continued all along the neckline of the wearers dress in an elaborate design, literally dripping with diamonds.
