In 1958, Procter & Gamble debuted the well-known bald-headed mascot Mr. Clean, whose name was eventually registered in 1967. In the 1960s, practically every home had the traditional multipurpose cleaner, which is still a well-liked cleaning tool today.

Its non-abrasive composition worked well on a range of surfaces around the house, such as appliances, tiles, worktops, and bathtubs. Any home would benefit from Mr. Clean’s nice lemon aroma as well. It makes sense why this product has been a mainstay in American homes for so long!
