Oshkosh Corporation is the manufacturer of the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle. A US military program to replace the reliable Humvee included the JLTV. The JLTV could tow a bigger payload than the Humvee, thus it had to be replaced. In 2006, the JLTV program was initially authorized.
