We have to agree that this is photographer Mike Oblinski’s “best lightning photo to date.” The storm photographer added that, against his better judgment, he should have checked his radar one last time before going to bed. Oblinski got out of bed when he noticed a storm was building over the Superstition Mountains, which are near Apache Junction.

After driving there, he waited until the lightning struck for 1.5 hours. In just ten seconds, the picture was taken, capturing an incredible view. One camera that might have been used to capture this image is the Pentax K1 Full-Frame DSLR, which works well for taking nocturnal landscape photos.
