One of Iceland’s most stunning natural formations is the Reynisdrangar stacks. These basalt sea stacks are found in southern Iceland, beneath the mountain Reynisfjall, close to the seaside community of Vik i Myrdal. A black sand beach that has been included on numerous lists of “Most Beautiful Beaches” is close to the salt stacks.

During a storm, photographer Vincenzo Mazza took pictures of these stacks. He caught a perfect moment of a bird soaring over the turbulent water, with the Reynisdrangar looming large in the distance.
