6.When You’re At an Asian Restaurant and Get Creative With the Chopsticks

Every time we visit any sort of Asian restaurant, we do this somewhat embarrassing action. Whether it’s a Chinese restaurant, a Korean restaurant, a Vietnamese restaurant, or any other Asian restaurant for that matter, it makes no difference; just as long as we have chopsticks, rest assured that we will put them in our mouths and pretend as though we were walruses; nothing you or anyone else can do about that.
To be straight forward, we have all been there. That instant when the immaculate set of wooden chopsticks shows up at your table causes your inner child to take charge. The temptation simply is too powerful to fight. You know you definitely shouldn’t, especially in a good restaurant, but those chopsticks seem almost screaming to be temporary tusks. If chopsticks are present, they must eventually be used for something other than their intended usage, much as the unwritten rules of dining out demand.
And have a look at this dog doing exactly the same way; might you attribute this? You cannot, no doubt. This is funny as well as cute. We wish we looked this lovely and carried on exactly the same behaviour. Though we run the danger of drawing some negative comments from the more serious diners around us, the pure delight and amusement caught in this moment reminds us that sometimes the dumbest things in life are what make it worth living. One of those universal events that cuts across species and civilisations is the insatiable need to play with your food or, in this case, your eating utensils.
