The Gulf of St. Lawrence’s ice eddies

Although it can be challenging to follow the oceans in space, satellites can pinpoint their movements thanks to the sea ice’s swirling patterns. This view of sea ice in the Gulf of St. Lawrence and the exquisite patterns it is creating around Anticosti Island in Quebec, Canada, was taken by NASA’s Aqua satellite.
