Despite having different clasps and backstories, these two distinct necklaces can be worn together. The Queen Anne necklace, which has 46 pearls in it, is the smaller one. With fifty pearls, Queen Caroline is the longest one.

The Queen wore these necklaces to her wedding, but plans nearly fell through when they discovered at the last minute that St. James’s Palace was hosting an exhibition of them. The private secretary to the queen offered to pick up the jewels, but he nearly missed it because of the city’s traffic. He is renowned for racing to the queen on time while carrying the pearls.
