When Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip got married in 1947, the Bahraini king gave the newlyweds a shell that had seven enormous pearls. These gorgeous drop-down earrings made of diamonds and pearls were subsequently crafted using two of those pearls.

The pair, which are one-of-a-kind and have a round diamond and four smaller diamonds, were seen on the Queen early in her reign. On Remembrance Day in 2016, they were recently observed by the Duchess of Cambridge and Sophie, the Countess of Wessex.
