The centerpiece of the Spencer Tiara was given to Lady Cynthia Hamilton as a bridal gift in 1919. Then Lady Cynthia was given another 1870s tiara. As the focal point of her wedding gift, she had the Spencer Tiara crafted from the ends of the tiara from the 1870s. The Spencer Tiara is covered with 24-carat gold in addition to diamonds.
