71. The Kent Diamond and Pearl Fringe Tiara

Worn By: Katharine, Duchess of Kent
Owned Since: Early 1900s
Estimated Value:
$500,000*
Queen Mary loved her diamonds, so it’s only natural that this gorgeous diadem originally belonged to her. However, The Kent Diamond and Pearl Fringe Tiara has been changed somewhat over the years. It was initially a much smaller band of diamonds before being transformed into a fringe tiara by the Kents in the 1970s.

While the base stayed the same, the Duchess of Kent decided to add the pearls on top, making it doubly striking and a darn sight more interesting to look at. It may not be as valuable as some other items, but it’s just as stunning.

Worn By: Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester
Owned Since: 1913

$600,000*
Queen Mary is responsible for yet another stunning diamond headpiece with this chameleon of an accessory, the Gloucester Honeysuckle Tiara. Jewelers E. Wolff & Co. made the diadem for Garrard at some point between 1913 and 1914, before it eventually landed in Mary’s possession.

The dainty ring isn’t loud and doesn’t scream wealth, but it’s worth $1,500. It’s just enough to accentuate an outfit without being brash, which is what Meghan Markle is all about.

74. Queen Mary’s Boucheron Loop Tiara

Worn By: Queen Mary of Teck
Owned Since: 1901/1902 (Exact Year Disputed)

The exact value of the Boucheron Tiara is unknown, as it was dismantled just a decade after it was commissioned by Mary of Teck. It was from these three brooches that the Snowdon Floral Tiara would be created. Wartski, a London jeweler, made the Snowdon Tiara. Lady Sarah combined the Tiara with a wreath of green to give it a fairy-like look. Sarah still owns the diamonds today, though she lent them to her sister, Frances, for her 2006 wedding.

In 1919, Lady Cynthia Hamilton received the central part of the Spencer Tiara as a bridal gift. Lady Cynthia then received another tiara from the 1870s. She had the Spencer Tiara made from the ends of the 1870s tiara and the centerpiece of her wedding gift. The Spencer Tiara not only has diamonds; it is also coated with 24-carat gold.

Worn By: Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester
Owned Since: 1893
Estimated Value: $81,252.53*
Worn by Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester in its later years, the Iveagh Tiara actually originally belonged to Mary of Teck. The Iveagh Tiara was gifted to Queen Mary on her wedding day in 1893. The name of the Tiara comes from Lord and Lady Iveagh, two Irish aristocrats who worked their way up to becoming an earl and countess.

The Iveaghs were members of the Royal Guinness family. The name of the Tiara is pronounced the same as “Ivy.” The Iveagh Tiara is one of the largest in the Royal Collection, and it was one of very few pieces of jewelry to which Mary of Teck did not make changes.

Along with the nine emeralds, this beautiful necklace has an 8.8-carat marquise-cut diamond from the Cullinan Diamond. 80. Platinum Fern Brooch

Worn By:  Kate Middleton
Owned Since: 1953
Estimated Value: Unknown
Though Kate Middleton wears the Fern Brooch, it is really on loan from Queen Elizabeth II. Queen Elizabeth II received the brooch as a gift from the Women of Auckland, New Zealand in the early 1950s when she toured the country after being crowned Queen.

The Platinum Fern Brooch is not to be confused with two Cartier fern-spray brooches, which belonged to Ernest Cassel, who ordered them in 1903 as a gift for Wilhelmina, his sister. The Platinum Fern Brooch from New Zealand is far more lavish. Kate Middleton was spotted wearing the Fern Brooch when she went on her own New Zealand tour in 2014. While the exact price is unclear, judging from the diamonds and platinum, it is probably worth a lot.
