Wasps are pesky tiny insects that, if stung, can pack a powerful punch. Malicious bugs can be easily and affordably eliminated. Using a water bottle or soda bottle as a wasp trap is a common DIY method for removing them. The bottle size you use is determined on the severity of your wasp problem.

First, remove the bottle’s top, around two or three inches from the cap. Then bait the trap. In the spring and early summer, put lunch meat or hamburger in the trap. In the autumn and late summer, use something sweet. Add liquid to the trap. Unscrew the cap off your bottle and place it cap-side down inside. Wasps will fly in, drawn to the food, but they will be unable to escape.
