As of 2020, the Mega Defense Ranger 2 AMPV is still under development, although it appears that the U.S. Army will be the first to use this extensively armored, light-armored 4×4. The Ranger is built for “higher crew protection,” “survivability,” “extreme maneuverability,” and “reliability,” according to MEGA.

In missions, the Mega Ranger II can be adaptable, even in very difficult terrain. These cars are built on different 6×6 and 4×4 chassis configurations. The Ranger II is available with an optional AEAV (Advance Electric Armored Vehicle) system that eliminates the need for oil, which will save the Army money.
