10. Leopard 2A – Germany
Producer: Krauss-Maffei
The German Army is the main user.
Price: $7.28 million
The origins of the leopard may be traced back to Krauss-Maffei’s initial development of it in the 1970s. It was created by the corporation for the West German Army at the time, but the German Army as a whole clearly uses it presently. The cost to produce one unit is around $7.3 million.

Since 1979, 3,600 of these cars have been produced. Its current version, the Leopard 2A, is anticipated to be retired from service in 2030. It will be replaced with a model that is both the Leopard 2A and the Leclerc tanks’ successor. Germany and France will collaborate on the replacement’s design and development.
