Over the years, fans have given Russell Westbrook a fair share of criticism, most of which has been justified because he hasn’t been playing well lately. Still, Westbrook ran into a fan in 2019 who picked the wrong day to heckle him.

A fan’s remark was misinterpreted by Westbrook as a racist one, so he responded with some caustic remarks of his own. The fan was found to have offended enough to receive a lifelong ban from Utah Jazz Stadium, even though it is believed that their remarks were not made with that intent. Westbrook received a $25,000 fine for losing his composure.
