The Tripla Complex in Helsinki is mostly owned by YIT and Etera, which contributed the majority of the $1.34 billion required for completion. The Mall of Tripla is but one portion of the complex, which was partially funded by the European Union.
Being the biggest retail center in Northern Europe, the mall has developed into a popular destination for tourists. The construction project also includes a hotel, a 1,000-unit residential structure, and a train station.
