Even an anti-icing system was installed on the center’s 341-foot tower to relieve the concern of falling icicles for people below.
The second-tallest structure in Russia, behind the Ostankino Tower in Moscow, is the Lakhta Centre, the northernmost skyscraper globally. The term “Lahti” is actually the Finnish word for “bay,” and it was taken from their neighbors in Finland and given a Russian twist.
