8. The Side-to-Side Rock


Targeting the outside edges of your feet is best accomplished with side-to- side rock. Seated, gently rock your foot from the outside edge to the inner edge while keeping ground contact. This movement improves weight distribution and helps release strain in the lateral and medial sides of your foot. Move cautiously and slowly, giving extra time to any areas that seem very tight or unpleasant. Those who typically pronate or supine when walking can notably benefit from this approach. Performed without removing shoes or drawing attention in the workplace environment, the rocking action helps preserve flexibility in the foot’s lateral movements.
