While on a commercial expedition between China and the Middle East, the ship from the ninth century sank. The antiquities on board were noteworthy, even if there wasn’t a hold full of gold. Among them were numerous pieces that belonged to the Chinese Tang Dynasty and were valued at over $32 million.
