The majority of the planet is submerged in the enormous ocean. Ships were the only means of transportation available long before airplanes could fly around the globe. Taking a job aboard a vessel may be quite profitable, but for many, it was like playing Russian roulette.
Not every schooner returned home; some sank at the bottom of the stunningly salty sea, taking with them countless kinds of undiscovered treasure. But pirates and vintage boats aren’t the only ones who find lost treasures. If tales are to be believed, there lies billions of dollars’ worth of Nazi treasure in an Alps lake, not to mention much more.
