You may want to be somewhat of a history buff for this one. The knights of the Crusader were soldiers of religion. The Pope, who organized these expert combat groups, gave the orders for the crusades. The crimson cross was stitched on the characteristic white mantles worn by the Crusaders.

Jerusalem was supposed to be reclaimed through these theological conflicts between the Roman Catholic Church and the Islamic authorities. In 2021, a scuba diver found a 3.28-foot-long sword with an 11.8-inch hilt off the coast of Carmel, Israel. Despite the sword’s barnacle-covered exterior, specialists were able to identify it as a centuries-old weapon that had formerly belonged to a Crusader Knight.
