Three brothers in Panagyurishte, Bulgaria, by chance found this Thracian treasure. This trove was the richest treasure ever uncovered in Europe following World War II, and they found it in a river while searching for clay. Currently, it stands as one of the most well-known relics from the Thracian era.

The treasure has been given to the National Museum of History in Sofia, Bulgaria, and serves as the focal point of the Regional Historical Museum in Plovdiv. In addition, there are three duplicates of this gem that are on display when the original is taken overseas for exhibitions.
