The S.S. Republic shipwreck is among the most valuable ones on our list. Early in the new millennium, Odyssey discovered this wreck and discovered that the sidewheel steamer contained almost 14,000 antiquities and 51,000 coins. The Republic sank in a hurricane while it was sailing from Georgia to New Orleans.

A total of far over $100 million in silver, gold, and thousands of pieces of stoneware, glasses, and bottles were found in the discovery. Even though this shipwreck is not as old as the others on our list, when it was discovered, it was a very valuable and significant historical monument.
