The St. Clair Family Estate lost thousands of cases of wine in 2013 when the 1,000-foot cargo ship they were on sank off the coast of Mumbai. The winery’s Pinot Noir and Marlborough Sauvignon Balance brands suffered the greatest losses.

Even though the vineyard demands payment for the wines before they are sent, the business nonetheless suffered a significant loss. Since a single case of St. Clair’s renowned Pinot Noir retails for $516, there is probably between $2 and $5 million worth of wine in the fish tank at the moment.
