12. Use Hair Grips

Surprisingly flexible tools for nail art that can help produce professional-looking designs with little work and cost are hair grips, sometimes known as bobby pins. These regular hair attachments can be turned into exact nail art instruments with the ability to create different patterns and effects usually needing specific tools. Make sure hair grips used for nail art are spotless and free of any residue from hair treatments. Use the grips’ straight edge as a guide or stamp for straight lines. Dip the round end of the grip into polish then gently press it onto your nail to produce polka dots. As a stamp or guide, use the crimped section of the grip for wavy lines. Applying a thin layer of polish to the hair grip and working fast before the polish dries will help the method to be most effective. Using several portions of the hair grip and varying pressures and angles will let you create several patterns.
