As Bobbi McCaughey approached the final weeks of her pregnancy, preparations for the arrival of the septuplets were in full swing. The couple, along with their medical team, had meticulously planned for the big day, anticipating the challenges and ensuring that every detail was accounted for. With nine weeks still remaining until her due date, Bobbi and Kenny were hopeful that she could carry the babies as close to term as possible to give them the best chance at a healthy start.

However, life had other plans. On November 19, 1997, Bobbi unexpectedly went into labor. The sudden turn of events caught everyone by surprise, and she was rushed to the hospital with a sense of urgency. The medical team quickly assessed the situation and determined that the septuplets were ready to enter the world, even though it was far earlier than anticipated. At just 30 weeks into the pregnancy, it was clear that a Cesarean section would be necessary to safely deliver all seven babies.
