14. Chilean River Basins

Chilean river basins, with their special adaptations to colder temperatures, are the southernmost habitats for capybara populations. These places comprise sheltered valleys with consistent water supplies and abundant flora offering protection as well as sustenance. The environment features many lakes and channels for swimming, open spaces for grazing, and thick riverfront vegetation for cover. While the steady water flow preserves appropriate circumstances all year round, the seasonal temperature fluctuations have resulted in particular behavioral adaptations among the capybara populations. Different kinds of plant and water features together provide ideal circumstances for these amazing species to flourish in relatively mild surroundings.
