7. Sentosa Resorts World

A visit to the island resort of Sentosa, which is situated off the southern coast of Singapore, is a must for any traveler. The idea for this massive undertaking began in 2006, and on Valentine’s Day 2010, just under three years later, the resort’s casino—the project’s first phase—was finished.

Resorts World Sentosa was built with an investment of over $5 billion. That does, however, comprise seven hotels with a combined capacity of around 2,000 rooms and more than six unique attractions. At its height (before 2020), upwards of 15,000 people were employed at Resorts World Sentosa.
