One of the biggest subterranean air bases in Europe, if not the entire world, is the Eljava Air Base. Since it’s a military base, a lot of activity takes place in secret. Nonetheless, we are aware that the airfield was constructed for about $6 billion and has a 1,000-person dining hall, several power generators, and an underground water supply.
