This dystopian oxygen mask, designed by Chiu Chih, will undoubtedly frighten people (and make a powerful statement about the situation of our environment). Two tubes allow the oxygen mask to be connected to a backpack, which has an oxygen-filtering plant inside. “Voyage on the Planet” is the project name given by Chih.

The designer claimed that when she was conceiving of her vision, she saw a world in disarray, with so much poison in the air that breathing required the assistance of a plant partner. It was more of an artistic statement than a functional, operating oxygen tank, as CNET noted.
