Since the tragic end of the Romanovs, no one has resided there. The Hermitage Museum of Russia is currently housed in the palace. The palace’s enormity never fails to astound those who come. There are 117 staircases and 1,500 rooms in it. Formal conference spaces, waiting areas, and private suites are among the available rooms.
