According to certain research, nobody should wear them at all. Two reporters were put to the test by the New York Daily News. For four days, the reporters lived in flip-flops. Staphylococcus aureus was discovered on the flip-flops after four days. The reporters would have probably become seriously infected with staph if they had sustained a cut on their foot.
