Even if it’s not opened, you should discard rubbing alcohol after three years at the latest. The alcohol in rubbing alcohol will degrade and evaporate if it is past its expiration date.

This will make the rubbing alcohol useless, which makes wounds and scrapes unsafe because they won’t be cleaned. Even if your rubbing alcohol is past its expiration date, you can use it to deodorize odorous shoes, remove stickers, erase permanent markers, and remove stains from microfibers. Simply put, it shouldn’t be used for medical conditions.
