Like eye drops, contaminated contact lenses can cause everything from discomfort to blindness. You are presumably aware of the risks associated with wearing expired contact lenses, and ideally, you are paying attention to those warnings. Replacing contact lens cases, however, is equally crucial.

Every three months, you should replace the contact lens cover, according to the American Optometric Association. Clean the casing after using it. Keep your contact lens case open and dry in between cleanings. To clean the case and keep your lenses, use only contact lens solutions that haven’t expired. It takes all of these procedures to prevent the growth of dangerous bacteria and microorganisms.
