Danielle Gonan took this well-timed photo on her first significant underwater trip after earning her scuba diving certification. She managed to get a picture of what appears to be a Bat Fish mermaid, proving that the waters of the Seychelles were favorable to her.

Actually, one of her fellow divers is captured in the picture just as a batfish swam in front of them, hiding their torso and giving the impression that they were working together like a mermaid. What amazing luck for a beginner!
