High heel wear causes changed posture, hence the area of the heels and ankles calls particular care.Start with light rotational motions around the ankle joint then work your way down to the heel.Pay particular attention to any sore areas and apply pressure in circular motions around the ankle bones using your thumbs.To help avoid shortening and tightness, gently squeeze actions on the Achilles tendon, then move up and down its length.Use strong pressure with your thumbs to massage the fatty pad of the heel itself; this will help to prevent compaction from extended heel wearing.This gives the region more flexibility and cushioning again.
