7. Tatjana Patitz

Regarded for her unique beauty and strong presence, Supermodel Tatjana Patitz unfortunately passed away at the age of 56. Her family said that metastatic breast cancer was the reason of her death; this sad loss for the fashion industry and her many supporters. Rising to prominence in the late 1980s and early 1990s as one of the original supermodels, Patitz graced the runways of esteemed fashion events and starred on many magazine covers. She even starred in the venerable George Michael Freedom! ’90 music video, which is still a classic today. Tatjana Patitz is less well-known for her passion of environmental and animal preservation. Beyond the flash and glamour of the fashion business, she committed her time and resources to a foundation aimed at wild horses, therefore displaying her sympathetic nature and dedication to worthy causes. Future generations will be inspired by her legacy as a model and champion of wildlife, reminding us of the beauty found both on and off the runway.
