The sensation is familiar if you have ever experienced a muscular knot. Massages can relieve these uncomfortable, sore trigger points. If someone isn’t there to give you a back rub, you can use a tennis ball instead. This convenient, travel-friendly massage instrument functions as a tiny foam roller to alleviate trigger points.

Lay down on the floor with your back against a tennis ball, or two tennis balls taped together. Continue until you locate the knot. Spend twenty to thirty seconds (or longer, if required) massaging the knot with the tennis ball. You can get relief from the ache and pain by using deep compression to help release the knot.
