6. Live, Love, Rave
This is a somewhat eerie picture, and online research turned up not much. From what we know, though, it appears as though a camera trap photographed two deer battling over some maize in the forest. Regarding the cats and all of the ghostly eyes in the backdrop, we’re not really sure what’s going on. Either that or every one of these animals is hosting some sort of ceremonial/dancing celebration. The creepy scenario, lit solely by the flash of the camera, begs nearly otherworldly questions about what actually goes on in the woods after dark.
Looking at this enigmatic evening photo increases the more fascinating details show themselves. While the animal placement suggests some sort of organised meeting, the reflection of several pairs of eyes produces nearly disco ball look. It seems as though we have discovered a secret woods nightclub where the local fauna lets loose following human bed-time. On this natural dance floor, the deer seem to be the major performers; the cats could be the bouncers maintaining discipline at this private woodland event. The rational answer is that ordinary nocturnal animal behaviour around a food source explains things; nonetheless, the imagination runs wild with the prospect of a secret animal kingdom nightlife we never knew existed.
