2. Nothing to See Here…

You need not be the best investigator in the world to uncover what happened here. Someone left their pastries on the counter, then returned to discover a few small paw tracks in them. Although we are not stating the cat did it, this picture does seem a little suspect. Fortunately, it appears that the cat just trod on two of the pastries. At least, given the picture, we are not sure what else it did to the pastries left unoccupied in the room.
The evidence is hilarious: those precisely shaped paw prints pressed into what seems to be freshly baked products convey a story of feline mischief devoid of witness testimony. Typical of cats that know they have been caught but couldn’t care less, the lazy attitude of the offender lends even more comedy to the picture. One can almost see the events: the tempting scent of new pastries, the chance time when no people were observing, and the intentional decision to practically mark their owner’s baking activities. This is a typical case study of why, regardless of the length of absence, cat owners learn the hard way never to leave food unattended. Still, the real question is: did anyone dare consume the unmarked pastries?
