Many airports are vulnerable to wild animals crossing the runway, which could result in a serious safety hazard. This is something you may not have given much thought to. Many airports have solved this problem by setting up traps to scare the animals away from the danger all around them, but Cherry Capital Airport in Michigan chose an alternative approach. In order to keep all travelers and airlines safe, they made the decision to hire Piper, a Border Collie, to run the perimeter of the airport and chase away any animals.
