A South Korean firm is called Hanwha. The K21 will serve as the basis for the Hanwha AS21 Redback, which the military corporation has suggested. The Redback is equipped with an automated 40mm gun. The Australian Army plans to use the AS21 Redback in the LAND 400 competition to choose the next Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV).

Right now, the Redback and Lynx K41 IFV are vying for the Land 400 Phase 3 championship. The two were put on a shortlist for consideration in the fall of 2019. The fire control system, which can detect and follow targets up to 3.7 miles away and positively identify them from 1.9 miles away, is one of the Redback’s most impressive characteristics.
